Connect to Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM using OAuth client credentials
This guide walks you through creating an OAuth client in Workspace ONE UEM and connecting it to Ravenna.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • A Workspace ONE UEM SaaS tenant
  • Admin access to the UEM console with permission to manage OAuth clients
  • Organization Admin access in Ravenna
  • Your UEM server URL, for example https://as1234.awmdm.com
Omnissa is organization-scoped. Each Ravenna organization can connect one Omnissa instance.

Setup guide

Create an OAuth client

1

Open OAuth client management

In the Workspace ONE UEM console, go to Groups & Settings > Configurations > OAuth Client Management.
2

Add a client

Create a new OAuth client for Ravenna. Assign it a role that can read device inventory.
3

Copy the credentials

Copy the Client ID and Client Secret. You need both to connect Ravenna.

  2. Find Omnissa in the Device Management section
2

Select Omnissa

Click Connect on the Omnissa integration card
3

Configure Omnissa credentials

Provide the following information:
string
required
The client ID from Groups & Settings > Configurations > OAuth Client Management in the UEM console.
string
required
The client secret for the same OAuth client.
string
required
The base URL of your Workspace ONE UEM server, for example https://as1234.awmdm.com.
string
default:"NA"
required
The data center region of your Workspace ONE UEM SaaS tenant. The region determines which OAuth token URL Ravenna uses to authenticate.
4

Complete setup

Click Connect to complete the integration. Ravenna:
  1. Requests an OAuth access token from the token URL for your region
  2. Tests connectivity to your UEM server

Troubleshooting

Cause: The client ID, client secret, or region is incorrectSolution:
  • Verify the client ID and secret were copied correctly (no extra spaces or characters)
  • Confirm the OAuth client is still active in OAuth Client Management
  • Check that the selected region matches your tenant’s data center
Cause: Ravenna cannot reach the UEM server URLSolution:
  • Verify the server URL is correct, for example https://as1234.awmdm.com
  • Ensure the URL includes the protocol (https://)
  • Confirm the OAuth client’s role can access the UEM REST API
Cause: Ravenna cannot match the device to a Ravenna userSolution:
  • Verify the device is enrolled in Workspace ONE UEM
  • Check that the device’s user email in UEM matches the person’s email in Ravenna
