Import Slack channel messages and threads to power agent responses. Build knowledge from team conversations, decisions, and shared information.

  • Auto-sync new messages, edits, and deletions
  • Capture thread replies with parent messages
  • Import one channel at a time for precise control

Setup

Select Slack as your source

When adding documents to a knowledge folder, choose Slack from the available sources.

Choose a channel

Select the Slack channel you want to import from the channel selector.

Import messages

All messages and threads from the selected channel are imported.

Requirements

  • Only channels with the Ravenna app added can be imported.
  • Add the Ravenna app to any channel before importing it as a knowledge source.
You can only select one channel at a time. To import multiple channels, repeat the import process for each channel.

Managing imported content

After import:
  • Archive messages to exclude them from agent responses.
  • Move messages between knowledge folders.
  • Delete messages that are no longer needed.

Auto-sync

When auto-sync is enabled, Slack channel content stays up-to-date:
  • New messages posted to the channel are automatically added to your knowledge base.
  • Edited messages are updated in the knowledge base.
  • Deleted messages are removed from the knowledge base.
  • Thread replies are captured and associated with their parent messages.
